Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and coat them in salt, sesame oil, soy sauce, and an egg. Mix well
Step 3: Make the Orange Sauce
In a saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, honey, and a hint of orange zest. Simmer the mixture, I use a corn starch slurry to thicken the sauce.

Orange Chicken Recipe (20 Minutes)
Ingredients
Chicken ingredients
- 6-8 chicken thighs , (boneless, skinless)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 cup corn starch
Sauce ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, (minced)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2½ tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- orange zest
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
Chicken
- Cut chicken thighs into 1 inch pieces.6-8 chicken thighs
- Season with salt, sesame oil, soy sauce, and an egg mix well.½ tsp salt, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 egg
- Completely coat our chicken in corn starch.1 cup corn starch
- Fry in hot oil 375F for 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside. Alternatively, you can spray with oil and air fry at 350F for 12-13 minutes.
Sauce
- Into a wok or pan, add all our sauce ingredients, bring it up to a simmer.2 cloves garlic, 1 cup orange juice, 2½ tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp rice vinegar, orange zest
- Mix together corn starch and water to create a corn starch slurry. Add this into our sauce to thicken. Continue stirring until it reaches your desired consistency.1 tbsp corn starch, 1 tbsp water
- Toss our chicken in the sauce and serve.

This was wonderful, until I watch this on IG and used brown sugar…. Then on this link that you supplied doesn’t have brown sugar anywhere near it… It was still delicious š. I added some hot repld pepper flakes to it.
