Sweet and Sour Pork

This sweet, tangy pork is the perfect dish to go with a huge bowl of rice. Who needs Chinese take-out when you can just make this at home?

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • ¾ cup sweet potato starch or corn starch
  • ½ onion (coarsely diced)
  • ½ green or red peppers (coarsely diced)
  • ¼ pineapple (coarsely diced)


  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • tbsp corn starch
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp sesame oil


  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ½ cup HP sauce
  • tbsp sugar
  • tbsp Worcestershire sauce


  • Cut up the pork into bite sized pieces.
  • Mix pork with soy sauce, sugar, corn starch, egg, and sesame oil then let it marinate for a couple of hours.
  • Coat the pork in sweet potato starch (corn starch should work as well) and airfry at 375°F for 13 min.
  • Make the sauce by combining all the ingredients listed.sautee
  • Once the pork is done cooking, sautée the onions and peppers on a pan until slightly softened, then add the pineapple, and all of the sauce. Let the sauce warm up then add all of the pork into the pan.
  • Coat well in the sauce and remember to eat this with rice!
