Hummus with Beef
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas
- ¼ cup tahini
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cloves garlic
- ¼ cup cold water or ice cubes
- ¼ cup toasted pine nuts
- ½ cup pomegranites
- cilantro
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ½ lbs beef tenderloin
- 1 tbsp Arabic 7 spice powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sumac
Instructions
- Soak chickpeas in cold water for 10 minutes.1 can chickpeas
- Gently rub off the chickpea skins and strain.
- Place strained chickpeas into a blender or food processor along with tahini, lemon juice, salt, garlic, and ice cubes or water.¼ cup tahini, ¼ cup lemon juice, 1 tsp salt, 2 cloves garlic, ¼ cup cold water or ice cubes
- Blend until smooth. Adjust to consistency using olive oil.
- Cut beef tenderloin into small cubes.½ lbs beef tenderloin
- Season with salt, 7-spice, and sumac.1 tbsp Arabic 7 spice powder, 1 tbsp sumac, 1 tsp salt
- Sear over high heat for 2-3 minutes.
