Crispy Honey Sriracha Shrimp is a sweet, spicy, and crunchy dish where battered shrimp are fried until golden and tossed in a glossy sauce made from honey, sriracha, garlic, and a touch of soy. The crispy coating soaks up the sticky glaze, creating a perfect balance of heat, sweetness, and savory umami. It’s quick to make, incredibly flavorful, and works great served over rice, noodles, or as an addictive appetizer.
Key Ingredients For Honey Sriracha Shrimp
- Shrimp – Large shrimp work best because they stay juicy inside while getting crispy on the outside.
- Honey – Adds natural sweetness and helps create the sticky glaze that coats the shrimp.
- Sriracha – Brings the signature chili heat along with garlic flavor and a slight tang.
- Garlic – Enhances the savory depth of the sauce and balances the sweetness of the honey.
- Soy Sauce – Adds umami and a salty backbone to round out the sauce.
- Cornstarch or Flour – Creates the light, crispy coating when the shrimp are fried.
- Oil for Frying – Helps achieve a golden, crunchy exterior on the shrimp.
