Matcha Tiramisu
Ingredients
Cream
- ¼ cup matcha powder
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 5 egg yolks
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 475 g mascarpone cheese, (1 container)
- 1 cup heavy cream, (whipped)
Lady Finger
- ¼ cup matcha powder
- ½ cup hot water
- ½ cup milk
- 1 package lady fingers
Instructions
- Into a bowl, sift in matcha powder, add heavy cream, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract.¼ cup matcha powder, ¼ cup heavy cream, 5 egg yolks, ½ cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Place over a pot of hot water and whisk for 2 minutes. The mixture should be smooth and warm now.
- Add mascarpone cheese, and whisk using an electric mixer until well combined. You can also hand whisk but it might take a bit longer.475 g mascarpone cheese
- Once well mixed, gently fold in whipped cream using a spatula until you can no longer see any more whipped cream.1 cup heavy cream
- Set this in the fridge while you prepare the lady finger portion.
- In a bowl sift in matcha powder, add hot water and mix. Top it off with cold milk.¼ cup matcha powder, ½ cup hot water, ½ cup milk
- Dip your lady fingers into the matcha latte mixture for about 5 seconds or as long as you like.1 package lady fingers
- Layer the bottom of a 9×8 inch pan with lady fingers that have been soaked in the matcha latte mixture.
- Top with half of your matcha cream, then repeat one more time.
- Dust the top with matcha powder and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
