Into a bowl, sift in matcha powder, add heavy cream, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract.
¼ cup matcha powder, ¼ cup heavy cream, 5 egg yolks, ½ cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract
Place over a pot of hot water and whisk for 2 minutes. The mixture should be smooth and warm now.
Add mascarpone cheese, and whisk using an electric mixer until well combined. You can also hand whisk but it might take a bit longer.

Once well mixed, gently fold in whipped cream using a spatula until you can no longer see any more whipped cream.

Set this in the fridge while you prepare the lady finger portion.
In a bowl sift in matcha powder, add hot water and mix. Top it off with cold milk.
¼ cup matcha powder, ½ cup hot water, ½ cup milk
Dip your lady fingers into the matcha latte mixture for about 5 seconds or as long as you like.

Layer the bottom of a 9x8 inch pan with lady fingers that have been soaked in the matcha latte mixture.
Top with half of your matcha cream, then repeat one more time.
Dust the top with matcha powder and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
