Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion

Dry Mix:

  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Batter:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup beer
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 2 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Cut the onions into thick rings, separate them, and coat in dry mix.
  • Dip the onions into wet batter and shake off any excess.
  • Fry in the oil set at 375°F for 3 minutes or until golden brown on both sides.
  • Season with salt and serve!

Notes

Note: The ice cubes keep the batter consistently cold as you're making the onion rings.
